I write in multiple genres, having come up in screenwriting, but I’ve always gravitated toward mysteries. And when I found cozy mysteries, I had to write my own. I write cozies under a pen name: Ann Audree.

The pen name is special to me, because it’s a combination of my name, Ann, and my mother’s, Audree. (That’s how she spelled it.) She was an incredible fan of all my endeavors, plus an avid reader. We lost her a few years ago, but now she’ll always live in our hearts — and in my pen name. It makes this journey even more special to me, and I hope it makes my storytelling that much better.
